The shape of the mind can have the greatest impact on one’s ability to heal. Our minds are powerful tools that can work for us, or against us, depending on the treatment they are given. The sad fact is that we live in a chaotic world; so chaotic, in fact, that people are often driven away from the most important, and meaningful parts of life. This begins to create a chain of events leading from one person to another; a chain that works to inhibit our growth as individuals, if not properly understood. We cannot always prevent misfortunes from happening to us. All we can do is try our best to understand these hardships so that they, in turn, can help us understand ourselves and the world around us.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT
The past does not control us, unless we let it. The memories of our tribulations are there to give us something to rise above, to allow us to grow. We are not defined by our past, we are defined by the steps we take to make our future. If it comes to pass that the future brings you another tribulation, you have just been given another opportunity to grow taller; and when that tribulation passes, the hope will still be there. The hope will always be there waiting for you.
Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. (Mt. 11:28)
